Is this a female macmasteri?

It was labeled as apistogramma. I asked on another group and was told it was macmasteri

The best answer with those two photos is "it could be a female A. macmasteri". If the store only deals in tank raised fish, then it likely is A. macmasteri. Whether it's a male or female takes more work. The dorsal rays will be pointed in males and almost flat in females. The dorsal and anal fin will come to a nice point and perhaps be extended in males while it is rounded in females. The female will have dark pelvic fins.
