ID Teleocichla sp. from Japanese store

The photo was taken in a Japanese store and the origin of the fish was not known.

Hello Deedoo. Lamentably in Spain are not either on sale species of the Teleocichla genus. :frown:

These are not really in my area of interest, but based on my favorite book on Teleocichla, they look much like T. sp. Tapajós I. Tapajó I, however, seems to have a longer lower jaw than your fish, but it could be just the photo.

Who has made this photo will contact to his friend in Japan to speak with the salesman of this store and to ask the name of the species, origin, city, river... and we will not say anything to him about Tapajós :biggrin:
