With all the photos I have posted of my P. t. "Dehane" I haven't had a comment from Ted that they aren't what they are supposed to be. So Ted, do they look right?
They have the spotting pattern that is consistent with Dehane. Some people will say that all Dehane have bright red cheeks, but the fish I collected in the stream in 2009 did not.
The male often has a red bar that runs from the corner of his mouth on to his gill plate. My since deceased second male shows it a little more clearly.
