"Gold Yellow" Cacatoides

Hello

Today, I saw some cacs in an LFS described as "gold yellow", although the label on the tank was "yellow cacatoides". I've never seen these before. The price of these was about 60% that of a "orange flash" cac.

Does anyone have any information about this particular strain?

Is it rare (given I have not seen it elsewhere). If so, why is it so much cheaper? There was only 1 male left, with quie a few females - would that be reason for the low price?

thanks!

I doubt that they are the yellow/gold strain. Being cheaper than than Orange Flashes, I suspect that they might be the wild yellow form. Do the males have any/many red spots?

I had the yellow/golds (bred them too), when I got them they were roughly the same price as other cacs I've seen, maybe even a bit cheaper (forget the real price).
