Hello dear reader,
I follow this forum once in a while for several years. Some years a bit more, some years not at all. Since I have a question to ask, I decided to finally make an account.
My forum-name is Rio because I like biotopes, and biotopes tend to be named "Rio ...". At the moment I am slowly building a biotope of Quebrada Nauta, which is tributary of Rio Itaya. That aquarium is 200 x 50 x 40 cm, but I still need the build the background for that. Meanwhile I started collecting some of the fish which are in 80 x 40 x 35 cm aquaria. In one of them I have 14 Hyphessobrycon peruvianus, in another 15 Hemigrammus hyanuary and a couple with several young Apistogramma sp. sold to my as Apistogramma cacatuoides. I will make a topic to ask about what species that might be, because I have kept A. cacatuoides (captive bred and wild) before and none looked like these fish.
