Fin Damage

Long story short, I had two sub adult males kribs in a tank together with an adult pair of kribs. Had someone take the paired kribs. The dominant male of the two tore the other one up over night. Torn caudal, dorsal and one pretty severely ripped pectoral fin. I've moved him into a 10 gallon tank with my ghost shrimp (too big for him to eat at this time).

Is there anything I can do to help him along? Any additives or medication or should I just let things run their course? He doesn't appear to be in danger of dying, just really beat up.

Good clean water will be fine and he should heal quickly. I do like to treat any badly mauled fish with Melafix too but I'm not sure it's necessary - I've just found that fish seem to heal quicker when I've used it.

Thanks,

I'll check it out, I know I've seen it before. May be worth a try if it helps.

My female betta got all nip all from all the fin by a male betta cause she found her way to the other side of the condo. (both have gone to good home)

What I did was remove her, she can swim but all her fins are almost gone..just a tiny left. I put here in my 10g and use Stress Coat and it heal her right up. Her fin all grew back within a week maybe less and were starting to get its color back.
