Female cacatuoides changed sex

I have a female cacatuoides that changed sex and successfully spawned as both a female and male.

Here's some of my photos and videos of the transition. (I wish I had documented it better, but it wasn't expected.)

Female with fry in a breeding tank containing only her and the male. (She had multiple batches in that tank).

In the same tank she started transitioning.

More of her transitioning. You can see that she's deleveloping fin extensions and no longer breeding with the male.

I decided to move the old female to a retirement tank where I keep some of my old breeders and Codydoras.

Many months later someone suggested that I try breeding the old female so I moved her into a tank with a young female. I was interested to see if she had just grown male features or completely changed sex.

Much to my surprise they shortly produced eggs which look fertilized.

Here's the small batch of fry that hatched.

And their second batch

After that I moved the old female/male back into the retirement tank.

PS. Please excuse the small tank (60x15x35h) I was temporarily keeping them in to see if they would breed. Unfortunately I was very short of space at that time. I normally keep my pairs in 60x38x35h aquariums with lots of wood, plants and leaves.
