This is a wild caught fish sold as a. ladislao (though the species is not confirmed). He is fairly active and eats readily. My question is does he require treatment (stomach looks a bit sunken though it is not as bad as when i received him); and if so what (prefer a product that can be easily be purchased in usa). The water ec is around 65 - no clue on ph. The aquarium is a 40B and has a number of swordtails, guppies (legacy fishes); and 1m and 1f. I would treat the entire aquarium if suspected parasite as nothing else in the aquarium is of 'value': I will say for years a number of the guppy females grow up with weird shaped bodies - i had just presumed genetic deformity from inbreeding but now i'm not sure - but whatever it is it only seems to impact the female guppies.
His diet consist of mostly fluval bug bites; with frozen mist and brine shrimp mixed together once or twice a week (no regular pattern on the 2nd feeding if it occurs).
He is very active (constantly swimming); making photos difficuilt though i could do a video if that would help. The female is much less active but also eats readily and does not appear to have a sunken stomach (she just doesn't swim as much but tends to stay more still; i would describe his movement as nervous pacing if he was a person but he usually stays near the front - at least when i approach.
