I bought one of these guys, but as of now I have only one qt tank free. The pike in question is about 2-2.5in now. Would I have trouble keeping it with other 2in female guppies? It's heavily planted. I don't mind eaten fry.

It should be fine especially if you "don't mind eaten fry" - or damaged/eaten females as the pike grows. The latter is unlikely since dwarf pikes tend to be fry/microfauna predators.

I could put him in a SA 30g, but there are predatory tetras and I'm afraid they'd gang up on him while he's still small. I think the guppy qt is the best place for him as of now, and hopefully I'll be able to move the guppies out before they become snacks. Thanks for the insight.
