Anybody with experiences with these. I have a group of six, all with orange fins, when will a male "develop". They should have some kind of sex-change?
Ed
I finally got these guys to breed in a 600litre tank. For a long time I was doing regular water changes, but with no results. Finally I gave up, left the tank for a couple of months without anything other than food, and then did a 50% water change. They the bred very nicely, laid about 200 eggs (if I remember correctly.) Not very good parents, though. Even the Rams would have a snack:-(. The fry were pretty delicate as well. If I got more, I'd seperate them from mum asap and try raising them by hand.
These are really one of my favs. Real characters. Good luck.
PS, I couldn't open the pic, how big is your tank?
