Color changes

Hi everyone,
I'm new to apistogrammis .I recently purchased a Male and female triple red pair. The males fins and tail are only about half colored will the color fill as he matures, I'm not sure how old he is, but he is young. The person I bought them from was not very knowledgeable.

I am guessing, when you write "only about half colored", that you mean only half of the fins' area are colored and the rest are clear or slightly tinted. This is not unusual. The non-colored parts may intensify - if provided a color-enhancing food - but I would not expect a lot of change.
