My male inca seems to be trying to spit up the skin of a bloodworm. It comes out about half way, then he sucks it back in. He has done this quite a few times, and it starting to bother me. Will he eventually get it up, or can this lead to further problems?

He looks like he is still picking at the gravel tryin to eat, but i never seen this before.

I talked to someone, and they said its them getting every last bit of food from the worm. I had just never witnessed it. So I got worried.

The advantage fish have over people is that their breating apparatus (gills) are not blocked by their throats. They can take their time swollowing their food.
