I would like to purchase a M / F pair of Apistogramma cacatuoides from a breeder located in or very near Northwest Indiana.

I prefer "Triple Red" but any nice color variety would be great.

They won't be bred for commercial purposes, but will simply be "pets" in a small Amazon basin biotope.

Banjo cats (Bunocephalus spp.) aren't good small community tank mates. Although not active during the day, they are predatory on small fish once the lights go out. I had specimens swallow small dime/nickel size (1 - 1.5 cm) angelfish.

Hmmm... mine has been living peacefully in this habitat with tankmates for two years...

Slower, more bottom oriented fish are greater in danger. You can try it and see how things work out, but the apistos could end up as expensive meals.
