Ok is just so quiet - my a. sp ipiranga spawned again. Her last spawn was 15 or 16 and they are now 1/2 adult size (they grow 5x faster than all my other species of apistogramma together); i guess she got bored and spawned again. Not sure how many she has them in the very back where i can barely see them so i inject so bbs 2 or 3 times a day and one day i might get a count - the other kids have moved pretty much no where - everything is pretty much as it was before she spawned. No real chasing or barking or howling or whatever. They are in a approx 65 glass cage in which about 60% is invisible to the human eye due to hardscape and plants but the fishes mostly hang out near the front in front of the plants 'cept for the 2nd adult female who is unwanted and if she is still alive she is in the anubia bush which is approx 1.2 feet long and 9 inches or so wide - it is a very bushy nana and when i think she is dead she usually sticks her nose out.

Hum no pictures maybe i should try to get a picture of the male or the kids and add them to this thread - so now the only species that has refused to spawn for me are the ?whatever version? of a. sp ladislo i have. I think i will give up on the a. sp ladislo as they are getting close to 2 years old.

Oh well i think i am a little surprise by the lack of violence with the a. sp ipiranga - the winklefleck are far more into chasing - i get the felling that the ipiranga are more civil where they express things without chasing and if you break the rule you get spanked really hard but i'm not sure how to prove that.

Couple of f1's i think 1 male and 1 female - i forget when they were born but maybe 6 months give or take 4 months ? Someone asked for a couple of females so if i can snag them i'll be sending them out in a month or so. Kind of hate to disrupt them as they might be missed by their siblings but who knows.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
