Apistos from Uruguay

Is anyone aware of any apistos from Uruguay? The only one I can think of as a possibility is borelli and I think that is a stretch. I have a friend who has a wild caught apisto that he says is from that country and says it is not borelli.

Here's the species:that I know about:

A. cf. commbrae (Salto)
A. cf. borellii (Río Uruguai)

I know of no A. trifasciata collected in the country of Uruguay. All trifasciata specimens collected in the Río Uruguai are from the western, Argentinian side of this border river. I wouldn't be surprised if some did occur in western Uruguay as well as possibly A. pleurotaenia. The La Plata area (parts of the Paraná and Uruguai systems) only recently, say the last 10,000 years or so, has been accessible to apistos. They really haven't had a lot of time to speciate much.

Sounds like you're ready to go on one of Filepe's expeditions. Bolivia wasn't enough?

I think I am getting the urge for another collecting trip. I usually take longer to get that urge again. Next time, probably further south in Bolivia.
