My Apistogramma sp. "Papagei" spawned several weeks ago and I removed the male from the tank after the fry started free swimming. My plan was to fatten up and rest the female before returning the male. This morning I noticed that she had laid another clutch of eggs.
My question is should I leave her and the fry in the tank or just remove her? I know the current eggs aren't fertilized but I don't know if this new batch of eggs will trigger her to eat the older fry.
