I am interested in these and would like to know their temperament. I wanted to know if they are more peaceful or more semi aggressive. Thanks

It's a polygamous species. Not terribly aggressive to most fish other than other males entering their territory or females not ready to breed (nothing new here). I would say the are similar to A. agassizii or A. bitaeniata in this regard.

A. gibbiceps are pretty typical for the genus but to successfully breed them they do need very soft water and a lower pH, say from about 5.0 to 6.0.
At least that has been my experience with wild specimens.
