Apisto cacatuoides fry

Hi.
I have 5 apisto, about 6 mths old. In a 60ltr tank with 4 orange gourami. A female has just laid eggs and eggs have hatched.
Some ppl have suggested to siphon the fry out of this tank and add the mother in a separate tank.
Any thoughts on this... And or removing the orange gourami., and leaving the other 4 apisto in the tank with the fry.

I have never been successful raising (many) fry without their mother. Moving fry with or without their mother commonly leads to the female stressing out and eating the fry. The same is true when trying to remove the other fish from the tank. I think you will soon realize that a community tank is not the same as a breeding tank. You need to decide what you want, a community tank with little chance that any fry survive or a tank devoted to breeding your cacatuoides.
