Hey all,

Got a pair of these fish the other day and they don't seem to eat much, and they also what appears to be a skinny longish clear piece of 'poo' on them. I suspect internal parasites. I have metro I can use, but these guys as far as I see are only eating bbs and the male is looking pretty bad atm. (Swimming near the top of the water). Any ideas?

mix the metro with fish oil(tastes better though poorer absorbtion in fish gi tract) and feed white worms coated with it , or other live food to entice

metro solubility is poor in water though you could try a long term bath at 25mg/l of tank water

a product to treat nematodes and cestodes may also be useful

Lost the male :( Such a pretty fish (even in death...) Female still around, will see how it goes. Don't have much access to many live foods, just bbs and microworms.
