Hi all,
I have just introduced my male agassizii into my 18" cube community tank from my quarantine tank, and he went a little crazy!
He was chasing everything in the tank for the first 24 hrs, but has now settled on chasing the 3 panda corys and the female around the tank (now at 48 hr). The female and the other fish were all ready established.
Would you expect this behaviour persist? Will I need to remove him and try again in a few days?
Can anyone suggest anything to settle him down? Would a mirror help to distract him, or would it make him more aggressive?
The tank has 3 definite caves and is pretty heavy planted in the back area. There are a few other hidey holes in the roots of the driftwood in the top section so there is cover.
Water Parameters are:
Temp 25C
pH @ 7,
Hardness 37ppm (<2dH)
Nitrate 10, Iron 0.73ppm, Phosphates 0.5
Nitrite, Ammonia Nil
