My A. baenschi spawned for the first time, probably around friday evening and the female is still diligently guarding her pot as of this morning(monday). Can anyone tell me how long the eggs usually take to hatch and how long til the fry are free swimming?

I cant actually see into her pot and am not keen to disturb her at all.

Cheers

Steph

Hi Steph
I have had A.baenschi spawn for me numerous times and have found that at 27 deg.C the eggs will hatch in approx. 4 days and the young become free swimming and out of the cave 4-5 days later.
These are beautiful Apistos. Enjoy
