Hi all,
Should look really good once the plants have grown. I'd add some moss to the wood, and put a backing on at least one side of the tank if there isn't one? (I usually do one end as well) to give the fish a dark, quiet corner. The moss provides both cover and food for any fry. For the same reason I would put a sponge filter on the filter intake. I DIY them from PPI10 foam sheet, sown up with nylon thread. An advantage is that you can make them to fit any particular diameter of in-take and they are very cheap as well.

Might also go fo some floating plants, as you have lots of light, I use Salvinia, Limnobium or Pistia, but Phyllanthus, Lemna etc would do.

Is the tank in a lab? this is my lab "shrimp" tank.

sponging the filter is a goood idea . I plan on ditching the HOB for a Eihems later since I'll be adding co2.They have thier own city under the wood including 2 flame moss covered coconut shell halves with some cappata leaves. Its set up on a counter that splits the cooking part of the kitchen from the eating part which is actually turned into a family office.I also have a 40gal breeder housing 2 Flame red agassizis and a 60 gal housing 2 Maskens which are going to be moved out and a trio of bit shushupis added.pictures to be added later
