    Any experience with Repashy foods?

I've been feeding a mix of flake and sinking food supplemented with frozen blood worms and brine shrimp. They do love their brine shrimp! Just lookin to try to diversify their meal options!

    Any experience with Repashy foods?

Hi, I recently tried a sample of the gel based Repashy foods and while my shrimp/otocinclus/snails took to it immediately, I've been having some trouble getting the apistos to give it a shot. I've tried sinking it, floating it half-way up, everything. I've had the best luck with grating it...

    Apisto Tankmates?

Thanks for the input guys! I'm going to have to consider carefully but at the moment I'm leaning towards perhaps having no dithers at all and letting the baenschi figure things out for awhile on their own... Thanks again!

    Apisto Tankmates?

Hi Mike, Do you have any thoughts for green neon tetras? They're significantly smaller than cardinals. If they don't work, i may just try a group if pencil fish. I'm really looking for some fish to fill out the tank a bit as the apistos are more often dartin in and out of their caves and...

    Apisto Tankmates?

Hi all, Just picked up a group of A. baenschi a few weeks ago and they're settling into the tank quite nicely. I'm currently housing them with some zebra danios and I think they're a bit too boisterous for the baenschi so I want to switch them out with something else a bit more peaceful...

Apisto agassizii -- Male or Female?

Hey all, Thanks for all the advice! The two of them have definitely paired off and she has become very yellow the last few days. I had put in the tank a couple of 3'' clay pots that she has laid claim to and appears to be quite aggressively preventing any of the c. habrosus I have in the...

Apisto agassizii -- Male or Female?

The male definitely opens his fins up a fully on occassion, just not all the time and not in any of the pics that I managed to take last night. I was more focused on the female than the male :P Next time I'll see if I can capture a better one of him with his fins open. Thanks guys!

Apisto agassizii -- Male or Female?

Thanks all for the input. She's actually become quite yellow in the past day or two; the two of them even appear to be doing some sort of exchange where the male swims on his side and presents his side to her when she's nearby. Is this normal? Attached a few pics of the male: the...

Apisto agassizii -- Male or Female?

It's probably a bit over an inch long. The little round balls you see in the picture are 1cm in diameter each. The other fish of the pair is also about the same size, maybe slightly larger, and much more brightly red in the fins. I hope it's a female!

Apisto agassizii -- Male or Female?

Thanks! Here's the pic. Not exceptional, but the best I could do with my P&S. If this isn't good enough, I'll try to take a few more with my SLR tonight.

Apisto agassizii -- Male or Female?

Hey all, So I bought two Apistos on a bit of an impulse a few days ago from a LFS. I was told at the time that I was buying a male and female pair and just wanted to make sure that I do, in fact, have a female and not two males. They've been in the tank for a few days now and seem to be...
