Dear All: I just wonder whether some fellow hobbyists in this forum are Japanese or come from Japan.
I ask because a lot of top quality apistos are now in Japan and I have interests to make more friends there.
Thanks. Best Regards - Blue
Last week, a large number of A. sp. "Kelleri" were imported to Hong Kong.
From a casual discussion with my friend who is the trader, we both are curious
about the natural habitat of this species. I read from Martin and Tom's Homepage that this species was found in Brasil (Rio Jutai, October...
A new arrival in aquafin Japan looks very interesting to me.
Is it an A. sp. Mitu? (The top 4 specimens).

Dear All: I have been fully occupied by my work for quite some time and hence haven't stopped by for a while. I would be glad to hear some latest developments and news on

Hi friends: Recently, i have acquired a batch of Tucanoichthys tucano
for my tucano tank with A. Eliza. Of course, I am also interested
in breeding them. Does anybody know some tips
for it? Up to now, I haven't heard of any successful story yet.
I have just sent a message to Mike via the forum's PM system, while again, as Mike's PM box is full, my message can't be sent. I thus want to raise a concern over thie "quota" scheme... could we expand the quota or just impose another scheme? The current quota system is very inefficient and this...

A. elizabethae - blue morph, wildcaught from Tucano; this is a trial tank which is heavily planted. I think the colour matching is great as the fish is blue, and there are green and red plants around :)
I have restructured my tanks and here are photos of some of them ^.^
I finally moved all apisto breeding tanks into a new fish room:
Some planted apisto tanks
There is also an L46 breeding tank

Dear ALL,
I have recently found the following species, wildcaught from South America.
The price is very very high and it is claimed to be very precious.
Do you have any ideas about its true ID/name? Thanks.
P.S: It is not an apisto while on one hand, it probably lives together with...
