Oh thank you for clarifying that. I was going to put a ID up for these too and I just asked in my ID thread but it seems you have already answered this before I got down here. Sorry for the mislabel.
Thanks mate :)
Thank you Mike. You are seriously a wizz at IDing apistos. I wish some day I have even just a tenth of your knowledge.
Anyway, as reading on a previous thread the difference appears to be the distinctive wavy stripes across the body on male and female for the apisto. sp tefe where as the...
Damn. Thanks mate. You are like the god of apistos. I have been a long time lurker of this forum and your wealth of knowledge is simply mind boggling. Thank you for the ID. Either way they are gorgeous fish (Still young but still nice fish). I just wanted to see if it was possible that...
Hi guys,
Here are some Cacatuoides. Note most of these guys are still very young and have the best yet to come ;) Their colour is going to come out so much more in their fins when they are older and cannot wait to see the results. Some have so much black already and others are very orange...
Hi guys,
Some pictures of the Bitaeniata blue and yellow forms. It is extremely bloody hard to get photos of these guys as they are not exactly camera happy and very shy and are always hiding and as soon as you put the hand int he tank to get them in a position to take a picture then boom...
Hi guys,
Here are some pics of some Apistogramma Viejitas that were brought into Aust. These look totally different to most labelled Viejita in Aust that are actually Macmasteri and hoping they are the true Viejita, so I am wanting your opinion on the fish. Thanks heaps...
Hi guys,
Looky Looky Ivanacara Adoketas.... They look stunning when they are spawning.... Sorry for poor photos it is hard to get decent shots in this tank and there is a layer of algae that is hazy all over the front glass
Cheers,
Adam
Hi guys,
I have got a bunch of these guys and want to just check their id with you as I saw a thread about Tefes and the differences between Tefes and Agassizii Tefes. I wanted to know if these were Agassizii Tefes as labelled or not?
And the female glowing...

Hi guys,
I visited a mates recently and decided to take a picture of a SELECT FEW of his apistos that would actually come out and play in the limited time we had as most were asleep (not even a quarter of his apistos). Some of the pictures show stressed ones as we did have to lift up pots...
There was a massive tv feature on 60 minutes I believe? on this particular instance. Sad thing to happen. It is not just the fish you have to worry about but the natives who actually rely on these waterways to survive.
You do have a nice list there mate. Good work :) Welcome to the forum. I too signed up just the other day :) Post up a pic of your fishrooms if you would not mind? Would love to see some of your fish :)
Hi guys,
This is my dutch tank in the making. Please be kind as at the moment it is a mess and still growing out and swapping things around weekly till I get the right balance. This is my first planted set up so it is a big leap for me.
