after a year or more I'm glad to see you all still here and thriving.
been away from the hobby for a time, but now I'm trying to catch up again.
I'm absolutely new to this version of forum, and like it a lot. the cac top-left is impressive :)

I'm wondering if it is safe to assume that the (cf) species, or other closely related, which were recently divided are similar in their demands in regards to water conditions, tank space etc? I would say it's generally true, but perhaps there are some, who should be treated differently than the...
This baby apisto came with a shipment of Otocinclus sp., probably from Peru.
it seems to be a female. is it too early to ID it or can someone give it a try?
I will upload a better picture as soon as I manage to make her stay in one place for a moment ;)

it's a great thing for a "biotope geeks" like myself - for planning a "natural setup".

I got this one from a tank of P. axelrodi, the other contaminants were Nannostomus sp. (probably harrisoni). I quietly wish for a male A. sp. "Broadband", as I have a lonely female... ;)

I saw some clear M. ramirezi, but over 8cm TL in size. I know the breeder has some special ways of feeding his fish (all ecological ;) )
someone suggested they could be x-bred...
Hello,
Pls take a look at the following link:

my best guess is A. agassizi "Belem", but the person I bought them from swore they are A. gephyra. they were bred in Czech Rep. but without any "blood improvements", as I was told.
Ani ideas?
hello,
those pictures were taken on some zoo fair in Czech. would you be so kind as to give your best guess of what those fish are?
of the first 6 pictures I can be sure of no 4 (cacatuoides) and 5 (whatever is sold here as viejita).
#1,2 and 7 could be one "strain", although you never...
