He has one of the best speciality stores in Denmark, a lot of discus and approx. 15 different apisto species.
I have breed cacatoides in harder water 20 gH.
But I know that they have been hardened for generations, but I will look into the options I have on changing water values.
My first thought is to collect rainwater since reverse osmosis will be costly.
Additional parameters
The water in Denmark where I live i pretty hard around GH 15, and the water pH is around 8-8.5
Breeding is absolutely a goal but not a must for start.
