There is an update to the Aqualog Southamerican Cichlids II book, (2005) "Aqualog Extra The Latest Apistogramma" . Would this be worth having in addition to Sudamerikanische Zwergcichliden/South American Dwarf Cichlids??

Hi Folks
I recently got a Cacatuoides Orange Flash pair. Had
them for about 4or 5 weeks now and they seem to be going ok. But the
Male seems to be having trouble eating. He seems fine is pretty active
and always tries to eat, comes up to the front when I feed them. When
I feed - frozen...
Amen brotha!
Well they are out of the bouble red cacs, they have orange flash males but not sure on female, waiting to hear back from them about that.
If that falls through I think ill go for a pair of tri's. I've already got hongsloi &
Agi tefe so its really down to the Trifacsiata &...
Its probably been there for a week or 2. He hasn't been showing any sign of illness. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens.
Thanks for your help.
Sime
Its flat against his body, nothing protruding, just like a discolouration. It doesn't look right.
I did go through a light white spot outbreak a few weeks ago, dosed malachite green.
Thanks
Sime
I would have thought that they would all require pretty much the same water conditions.
Its too hard to choose, I'm leaning towards the cac orange flash, or macmasteri or trifasciata. I can only really get one pair or maybe 2.
I cant make up my mind!!
I know its really a personal choice but which do you think would be the best to choose from the following list.
Apistogramma cacatuoides "double red" pairs
Apistogramma cacatuoides " Orange Flash"
Apistogramma agassizii "double red" pairs
Apistogramma hongsloi "red stroke" pairs...
Hi ,
When I ask a LFS here in OZ about getting in some Apisto, they don't want to for the same reason, they are too small no colour and can't sex or tell what sp. they are.
Mike,
Do you happen have any idea of what would be coming into Australia and from where ?
Also would you...
My male is not acting normal :( . he is hovering just above the substate. he does not move around much at all. Its caudal is clamped a bit and he repeatedly opens and closes his mouth like he is coughing or trying to spit something out about every 3 or 4 seconds. other than that he looks fine...
I'm thinking about geting an electronic PH tester. There is the PH/EC/TDS combo unit and there is also a PH/ORP(Redox) unit. From what i have researched EC and TDS generally relate to hardness(but not as simple as that). Redox is more of a measure of the water quality. I don't completely...
Thanks for the info FG. I think your right about the Prazi.
What i have just bought is a bird wormer its active ingredient is levamisole :D 10mb/ml how have you used this stuff? i think i'm gonna soak their food in it, just not sure what dosage to use
I have a fish with Camallanus(nematode) but can't get levamisole in OZ , have been told at some lfs to use Praziquantel. i wanted to know if anyone knows if it will work or not.

Over say 6 months i've had a few apistos die very quickly and for no apparent reasons, water params look ok and the victims show no symptoms. a hongsloi died today. Last night when i fed them he looked fine he was eating and nothing looked out of place. Then today he dies, he is laying on the...

I have a couple of aqualog books - South American Dwarf Cichlids (Bork, Mayland) and South American Cichlids II (Glaser) . How do these compare to the Cichlid Atlas...
