most of the color of on the fish are degrading but...they are female. Male double rred or any strain today I get seem to lack a bit of color in the tail.
I have never hear of frozen bloodworm killing a fish...
I feed hikari frozen bloodworm to my fish and apisto for well over 1 year..no lost I throw in frozen bloodworm right into the tank for my smaller tank.
dwarf baby tears are very hard and not for beginner and are very demanding plants. They require very high lighting...ur standard compact or fluorescent lighting will do no affect at all and micro nutrients will need to be dose fairly.

pretty hard to tell as both don't even have what you bought as "sunburst/orange flash" color at all! There color are so dull and poorly breed.
Time will tell to determine the sex.
apisto caca are a bit sensitive to meds. You have to put a bit under the dose or even little. I have one that apprently was the boss of the tank and then one day, went into hiding and never came out to feed.
It later die and pass away...not even sure what happen to it. This was well over...
