I'm hoping they get more lively. Appartently these guys are the ones with the most character. I haven't seen the female all day. Theres 2 shells and the male constantly changes between the 2 but the female hasn''t come out at all. There in my room and I forgot to put the blinds up this morning...
What do you mean by this? Do you mean buy to and chuck em in the tank or just buy 1? so even if i only had 1 cacatuoides it would be to big? Sorry for asking so many questions but I can't find anything about keeping single males or small tanks.

So far I have only kept african cichlids. I found an old 5 gallon tank that I had when I was little. The filter I have is a aqua world 150. I want to venture into dwarf cichlids and instead of shellies I want aspitos. re there any species that can be kept in a 5 gallon tank? Would I be better...
i currently only have african cichlids but I have decided I want to get some dwarf cichlids. I only have a 5 gallon tank with a aqua world 150 filter and a 25 watt heater. Will I be able to keep a pair or a single male in this tank? I will also have some plants in it.
