Alright seeing all the pictures of everyone's fish has gotten me jealous beyond belief (especially your fish BlueBlue). I think this site could use a for sale/trade area for anyone looking at getting some dwarf cichlids. Maybe this isn't the intent of Apistogramma.com but I figure if we can talk...
Anyone interested in trading some Apistos? I can trade F-3's of A. tucurui and A. "rotpunkt" as well as A. cacatuiodes OFYG. All are 3/4" or larger. Send a pm or email me [email protected] if you are interested in a trade or wanting to sell the species listed below. Thanks!
I am looking for...
I was wondering how everyone ships out their fish? I have sent small boxes before of angels, some dwarfs and killifish in bags without straight oxygen. I double bag them and put an ammonia reducer in the bag. How does everyone else do theirs? I am interested in this as there has been some talk...
The OCA is having their Winter auction on February 12th. I was just curious if anyone from the forum was going and what they were bringing. I am planning on taking some Geophagus altifrons, Apistogramma sp. "Reddot" and some koi angels. See everyone there!
Well it looks like my Apistogramma tucurui eggs are going to hatch, some 80 eggs. This is the third spawning from this female (F-2) but the first to be fertile. I am hopefuly to raise these guys up as this is the only pair since I moved, that I have and I do not know of anyone else that has...
Well finally after moving this year my A. tucurui have spawned again. There are about 40 eggs laid inside of a flower pot. Now I just have to wait to see if they are fertile. This is a different male then from before, I lost the original male in the move. He is about 2 inches+ and the female is...
Well my juvenile reddots are obviously old enough to start breeding now. I've got a female, just barely over an inch, that spawned last night. I will have the rest of the juveniles for sale at OCA btw. I cannot believe I am on generation 3 now. Truly an easy to keep but beautiful species to...
Did A. sp. "Inca 50" get described as A. baenschi? And actually ApistoDave is selling them. So maybe he would like to reply on this topic. The fish look the same but I have not seen any information on this. Or is it another Njisenni Type species?
I am moving here in two months. I will need to unload as many fish as possible. Here is what I am going to sell and how much I am asking for them. I am selling them for what I put into them. I am not making money off of them. I am willing to work out trades with equipment like heaters...
Here is a topic where we can all list what we have.
My list of Apistos are:
-2 prs. of trifasciata (breed but no fry yet)
-1 pr. of sp. "red-dot" (many, many fry, breed every 2 wks.)
-1 pr. of sp. "tucurui" (have spawned, no fry yet, also have 2 extra tucurui that I have no idea what...
What fish shops are worth a visit while I'm in Georgia for the Atlanta Area Aquarium Association? Any good ones with Dwarfs? Corydoras? Characins? Anyone wanting to ride with me, there should be 2-3 extra seats, until the fish are in the car :~)
Has anyone ever kept this species before? I've got a pair that just spawned for the second time. Just wondered if anyone had any tips on them. From the Romer book it seems to be a straight forward species. I will keep you informed if they hatch. Thanks!
Is there any info. on A. sp. "Angle Spot" out there? Looks like a very interesting fish. I thought I saw a pic in TFH a few years back but was curous if anyone else has had experience with it? Obviously, the person selling them on aquabid knows how to spawn them. Any info would be great, thanks!
I was wondering if people who have bred this variety of Apisto. came up with the fry showing a bunch of different color morphs as in Uwe Romer's book. In otherwords, does this location breed true? or is just a small group of the juveniles exhibit the color of a "tefe agassizi"?
