Yes, platan roots look very nice to me too.
To be honest I do not know how long do they last because it is my first platan roots. I don't know anyone who used them before.
Hello!
This is my little temporary apistogramma cacatuoides double red aquarium.
It is housing 1 pair of this beautiful fishes.
Aquarium - 40x25x25 (I know - recommendation is 50x30 but for now it is OK)
Filter - internal Wave Filpo twin 200 l/h
Heater - room temperature - 24-25C
Lights -...
You don't see it on the video but there is more than enough hiding space for 1 par of apistogramma.
Also, normaly there is thicker leaf litter, but I did not putt some more leaves because my plan is to move all of the fish to some biger aquarium. Hopefully it will have better and nicer setup.
I agree with Darrel - it is very likely M. x soulangeana.
It is also magnolia that I have in my yard.
@ Ruki - very beautifull fish! (now I can see photos)
Just yesterday I collected magnolia leaves in my yard and threw them away. There is some more leaves on my magnolia tree so I will collect it and maybe trie it in my tank.
Thanks Ruki!

Ruki - very nice fish and tanks!!!!
I did think about putting magnolia leaves in my tank (becouse I have magnolia tree in my yard) but I was wondering about their effect to water quality. Now hearing it is all OK in your tanks I will probably trie it.

I just found it (Limnobium laevigatum).
I am very sorry to hear about your tank, but I belive that most important thing is that you are OK. I am sure that new tank would be even better!
Now, when fall is coming there would be lot of driftwood in the nature - I am also counting on it.
