I too am having the same problems with mine. Taking longer to hatch and there mainly white. My old lot when i drew it from the hatchery the shringe used to be bright orange but now its nothing like that alot are dead and the remaining are white. Im sure i read somewhere about the poor or lack of...
Hi,my Congochromis finally brought out a decent batch of fry the other day i have previously had a few spawns from the pair but only 4 survived from the last batch due to the male and female squabbling i think. So this time removed the male the day before they were due to venture out of the...
Cheers Guys
Ste your right there well past larval stage i had to remove the fry in the end as they wouldn't stop taking them in there mouth and they were getting a bit big for that IMO. My other pair the male never touched the fry it was always the female but this pair he does it all the time...
All my Kelleri have mouthbrooded at the larvae stage, the male also took part in this also. Here is a video i got of him one morning keep watching and you will see him start to spit them out at around 2 minutes before swimming off out of sight to release the rest. Sorry about quality and colour...
Hi Mike, sorry i didn't realize it was in the wrong place i just looked where a previous ID request was placed.
Ive emailed the owner of the shop who imported these and all they can tell me location wise is the River Xingu. Would of been nice to of had an exact catch location, not to worry. These...
Hi,i have asked for an ID before but i think it was a little to young to be sure. Ive managed to get some new pics of him and also he has fathered a nice large brood of fry recently. Originally he was brought in as A.Vielfleck but is clearly not as hes nothing like my male Vielfleck. Im hoping...
Hi,what i did last time i went away was get some Java Moss in a tank and left it in the garden for a few weeks before i went. The day i went i placed a bunch in all my fry tanks and tanks where there could of been a possible spawning while away. To my knowledge i didnt lose any fish and like...

Hi,i have been keeping and breeding a wild pair of Kelleri for nearly 2 years now and mine are in tap water ph6.5,temp,76 tds,80ppm with no problems, spawn regularly and produce a pretty even sex ratio. One of my favorite fish.

Hi Andy,i believe a friend of mine and member of this forum is working on getting some of these over to Germany. So hopefully all going well you will soon have these in Germany.

Hi,only just noticed this thread. I also have been lucky enough to own/breed these stunning fish. I no longer have the parents as i passed them on to another breeder but they did leave me with around 300 fry the majority which have now been passed on but i still have around 80-100 ranging from...
Hi,got some better pics of the pair. They have spawned since starting this thread as you can see the male that was originally fish number 4 in the first post on this thread looks completely different now it has settled in a lot more spotting has become noticeable. See what you think Vielfleck...
Hi Ste,i believe all 4 of these fish were indeed from Rare Aquatics. I got these from Steve1572. Fish number 4 which i got of him this week as he lost his female i would say this is an adult. Im sure Steve will come along and confirm they were from Rare Aquatics. If there not Vielfleck would be...
