Maybe you should state what you were thinking of,as far as other fish. Then the knowlegable crew here could give some insite,as to what would work, and what will not. You know, apistos, pelivca, nannochromis, small great whites.

hi need a bit of help

Hi, stroh71,is making the standard argument, and makes alot of sense. However, fish rarely read the books the experts write, and will settle down to sort out their differences themselves. Not surprised your rams and kribs are living in harmoney.Lots of food, good care, and alls right with the...

I dont like giving thumbs up on a particular post/response,BUT,Mike is right on! Its tough enough to find out what apisto. you have from nature, never mind when we keepers start to add to the problem,by breeding indiscriminately. Maybe,if you dont know what you have, dont breed the darn...

    buying apistos

Yes,the referance to Caracas was very tongue-in-cheek.The political sitiuation has not changed, but maybe a photo-opt,with Chavez holding a bag of apistos, could change world politics???.Nah,forget that plan.

    dimidiatus?

I have to make a comment for everybody that questioned the beefheart. And this is simply to give a argument on this question. as to this is not a natural food item, when was the last time anyone found brineshrimp in the Amazon,or the streams of Western Africa? As aquarists,we feed our fish...

    dimidiatus?

Mike, No,after several back and forth e-mails,it turns out that the fish were not collected from the shipper,it was a third party that offered the fish up on aquabid. I have included several pics of the ones i lost. The four that remain are still doing well.

    dimidiatus?

Thanks guys, The beefheart is out. They were not eating much anyhow, and seemed cluless as to what it was,ya know, the taste and spit routine. The deformity seemed odd to me,only because, going all the way to West Africa,to collect a fairly rare fish,in a dangerous area of the world, plus the...

    defination of "pair "

As a new dwarf keeper,i have an ethical question for everyone on this board. When you buy dwarfs,do you expect to recieve,1M and 1F,when you are told you will recieve a " pair ".I am trying to understand the culture,as it were,of the dwarf cichlid community. I am not pointing fingers at...

    shipping question

shipping Well,i went with FedEX,as i trust them, having shipped many saltwater butterflys, when i had my salt tanks. The difference between FedEx,and USPS express was about 6 US dollars.IMHO,a nobrainer. The total for shipping, from the US east coast,to Denver,Colorado, was about $64.00.This...
