Bought these guys from my LFS as "WC apisto mix, Brasil".
They are both quite large, the female about the size of my full grown A. baenschi and the male slightly larger than her.
After a few weeks they have coloured up nicely and I am wondering what they really are and if they are a pair of...

Found these guys in a tank of WC Apistogramma baenschi (Inka 50). Most of them seem species typical, but some seem a bit different.
The pictures are taken with my phone in the shop so obviously they are not the best quality.
Are they baenschi`s or something else?

I got some nice apistos a while back. During quarantine I managed to get my pebas and my papagei pair in the same tank, not a very "Wise" move :wink:

I have bought these as WC A. Apache, and they look like Masken. Is that correct and what sex are they?

There are both males and females on the pictures?
I suspect there are two of each in the tank, at least one certain female as she is starting to change colouration. And there is one who I suspect is male close by in the same space all the time.
