just to be a bit facetious.
snails are either male/female or hermaphrodites. with a large number of the freshwater types being hermaphrodites. as hermaphrodites they still need another snail to mate with (though some are able to self-fertilize (which is still sexual reproduction and the...
I know the korallia is a difficult one to do it with.
I was thinking of trying to get it like the Juwel filters (apart from their miserable turnover) the fact is, theoretically this should be more efficient (consider the advantages of a screw propeller over paddle-wheel) problem comes in...
basically, using a Korallia, on the basis of its turnover.
however unlike a conventional pump its not easy to design a built in filter. what I was thinking is that utilising top and bottom intakes.
any thoughts??
to see if it is that size rightclick on the image, and choose properties, that will tell you the dimensions.
I use GIMP rather than photoshop, but use that to resize images, although you can get photobucket to resize them as well
plecos and corys are easy
anything from this list.
as for dwarves, there are Bioticus, Discrossus and Apistogramma found there (Laetacara curviceps and Apistogramma agassizii. are 2 specific sp, the others are "sp. Tapajos")
there are loads of others that are in the same area as the...

going to go with either Hyphessobrycon Pulchripinnis (Lemon tetras), Nannostomus beckfordi(Golden Pencilfish)...
anyone know of any common tetras commonly found from Rio Xingu.
I currently have a group of 7 Krobia sp Xingu red cheek. and they've got to go to a proper tank (still in the "quarantine" tank, as I haven't got round to setting them up a tank.)
so want to find some biotope correct...
I'm interested in this, looks like an effective way to lower pH (given the natural pH of it is 1.4)
its much easier working out how to make the water harder, I dont know how you can calculate the effect on pH by a substance. and it wasn't something I calculated when I worked out my rift lakes...
this shows the basic layout of my tank (need to get some newer photos)
I have 2 2'by2' panels of eggcrate in the corners which support the rock (all 213KG (440lb+)
there is the more open space in this tank than your tank has in total. so I'm able to provide both habitats in the same...
ancistrus maybe, personally dont like adding them. synos are teh only cats I like to mix with them.
personally I thin Nibochromis are too big for a 4foot tank, they the sciaenochromis would fit.
but first off, what are you after, a Mbuna tank or a Hap tank. the reason I mention this is...
it is some form of geophagus, though the split lateral spot makes ID's confusing.
the blurry photo doesnt help matters, it does bear resemblance towards G. taeniopareius, I wouldn't be 100% on that ID however. as that lateral spot does seem odd
Andrew, your using a D50, cant you shoot in RAW??
if you did it'd be an easy fix for adjusting the exposure (and you'll lose no data, as you dont damage it as you would with changes to a JPG)
