    After a few spawns with no success, finally I've have a bunch of adoketa fry swimming around. I don't know what's other people experience with these species, but the only way I got the eggs not to fungus was wit a pH under 5. As you can notest, the water is very, very brownish...

    Very nice! ... and exceptional spacing conditions for them. I'm not as fortunate as you as for tap water quality goes. I must use RO water... in truth, I'm still unsure if I have hard water or liquidified rock! Good luck with them and keep us posted... I'm curious about the development...

    Mike, I agree with you - and who am I not to (?)-, and it's based on that particular study by J. Ready that the author extrapulates the hipothesis for other species/populations. I don't read his "paper" as being a conclusive one, but rather a question.

    It's a pitty sub-tropical populations don't reach Europe very often... the ones that do are being kept outside all year long in some places in Portugal.
