Sorry I haven't been on in a while. I used Melafix which seemed to be helping and the cotton growth was almost gone but then suddenly the fish lost its appetite. It died a few weeks ago about 3 weeks after the original post.

I have an Apisto. Caucatoide with a small cottony white spot along his lateral line and I am beginning to think that it is a fungal infection. I have a picture although not the best.

I was doing some looking and I am wondering what the difference is between the diamond and the Apistogramma bitaeniata Peru Blue. Other then colour, is there any difference. I noticed on one website that they are commonly confused for each other.
