    A.viejita

Like I said about this fish at Apistogramma group at FaceBook. First look at shape of body- A. viejita is the most slender Apisto from A. macmasteri subcomplex, your fish is really bulky(and that hump on head ;) ). Next you should look at shape of caudal fin- A. viejita should have round, no...

    Camallanus worms

Aren't Camallanus worms viviparous and Capillaria worms oviparous? And because they are viviparous they don;t have any problems to infect new tanks- we can take larvae with fishing net, hosepipe, with water when we are taking fish from one tank to another. With copepods we can infect our fishes...

    N. sp "green speckle" and C. compressiceps

I was asking Anton Lamboj about N. sp. "Green Speckle" and now they are form of C. sabinae, not C. dimidiatus. Now I have two females of similiar(or the same) form of C. sabinae, males will come in next week. Now they are glued to front of tank waiting for something to eat for all days. :)

How to fatten up A. eremnopyge ??

Because that "female" -> http://i554.photobucket.com/albums/jj404/Fishy-Boy/Fish/DSCF5555_zps6ac427bf.jpg simply looks like cac?:>It's not a A. allpahuayo(former Black-Chin) because caudal spot isn't separated from lateral band. Female of A. eremnopyge looks like that:

What can you say about these?

For me those fishes are closer to A. norberti than to A. cacatuoides. Male looks like high-fin norberti with lyretail. :)

Different styles of keeping apistos. US vs Asian

In Poland we also have a many apisto keepers who are really good in natural looking tanks. "Hi-tech" tanks are really rare here. The latest fashion(after shrimps and nature aquarium) is exactly a black water tanks, in many case with Apisto. :) A really good access to wild Apisto( in peruvian...

I haven't updated this topic for loong time. In kitchen I've now 3x 96l,one 125l and one around 25l tanks. In other rooms I have 112l and 57.5l. Fighting with Ichtiophonus require really strict actions- I had to make all my tanks in sterile hospital-like tanks. I also reduced amount of tanks-...

    Interesting Apistogramma gibbiceps form

2 months ago I've bought 2+3 of A. gibbiceps WF(sold as A. agassizii "Tefe"). Why interesting? Females have 2 black spots on each side, not one as usually. First spot is always smaller than second, one female has only a black point.
