That article at Loaches online is the greatest article I have read on the subject. After reading it, I have been over dosing my fish like you would not believe. It has been a great deal of time since I have had to go thru the whole ordeal of (Callumanus worms) but it is great to find an...
Also, the fish pictured above will have very different water parameters than the vast majority of fish on this forum. I know of a site which could probably help you out... it is called Malawi Mayhem.

Good Luck.
Congrats
Congrats, I would try and get them some sort of live food, (BBS) Baby Brine Shrimp would be good or some Daphnia, you should be able to pick up some BS eggs at your LFS and they should have directions on the package. Or you may be able to find Daphnia locally.
Thank you
Thank you, I was pretty sure of it. But I saw some pictures today where the Apisto's had red on their ventral fins also. So I was a little concerned, I may have been wrongly advertiseing mine. I had a great spawn. 57 last count have lost a few since, but I think it is due to...
Lab's???
When you say (Labs) I hope you don't mean...Labidochromis caeruleus. These fish are from north side of Lion's Cove, Malawi. There habitat is usually Sediment-Rich Rocky Habitat with a pH: 7.8 - 8.6 Water Hardness: Hard. Where as your (Rams) Mikrogeophagus ramirezi come from Orinoco...
Thank you for the replies, I also would like to do the Nannostomus species (pencil fish) but they don't have them very often at the LFS and when they do, I just watch them drop off one by one thru the weeks, so I do not want to subject my fish to what ever they have. The Endler's are a great...
I have a pair of Cacatuoides in which the male is extremley skittish. The female is fine, comes out for feeding and swims around the tank. The tank has lots of cover, almost completely covered in moss and several pieces of drift wood and about five caves, so I don't believe it is a lack of...
Okay, little of confusion here I think. I have free swimming fry, they are about two weeks old. My question is how long do I have to keep the temp. at 26 degrees to get the 50/50 ratio? Then if I can or should raise the temp. what do you all suggest. My previous batch I raised where all...
Hello, everyone. Okay I have a couple of questions. I have recently had a spawn of the Cac's, I have tried to keep my temp at the magical 26 degrees to get the 50/50 ratio. My questions now are how long exactly or estimate'ly should I keep the temp like this, I think I remember it being two...

I would also like to know about when it happens. I know that mine where in a tank which had a pretty much constant temp. of 80 and still are in a tank at 80. I have the tank which I am going to breed in set at 77, so as soon as I pick one of the best looking males I am going to breed...
I recently had a spawn of Apistogramma Cacatuoides out of the fry, I had 13 make it, and they are about 14 weeks old now. Out of the 13 I believe if not all are male there may just be one female. I have heard that temp. plays a major part in this and was wondering what information anyone has on...
Easy question I am sure...for ya'll. I was just wondering if brand new free swimming ram fry will have big enough mouths to eat BBS or do they need something different? Thanks in Advance, looking forward to Replies.
