I've got a beautiful pair of sp 'Mamore' and I'm looking forward to breeding them. I've read that the clutch will have males, having either a red or blue caudal fin. is this true?

I've got a pair of Macmasteri in my 3 foot planted aquarium. My female has made a nest under a rock and keeps approaching the male. The male however doesn't seem to show any interest in the female whatsoever. Is this normal...
