Do you think B. opercularis Tapajos (as seen in Buntbarsche amerikas Band 3 page 73) is the same species as the fish pictured by Gamelle ??

I also thought A. maciliensis and A. sp Rio Mamore were just one single species until I met Maik Bayer from Apisto Heaven and Marco Lacerda. from Trop Rio. According to them, A . sp Rio Mamore is a species which grows much larger and with a much higher back than A. maciliensis;

About latest pics. Does someone knows where I can find a good quality picture of A . sp Diamante. I think one appeared in an issue of AKZ bulletin a few month ago. Who can help ?

It's rare just because this sensitive fish is difficult to ship. They really need special care
They are not are in the wild.
