I have a reservoir(actually just a small tub) to prepare the water for my apistogramma tanks. I utilise the PH monitor to monitor the PH. This monitor has a probe which I place in the reservoir permanently. It gives PH readings of around 5 usually.
Lately, I got a new PH pen and got it...
I am currently maintaining another tank using Sera black peat to soften the water. It can reach as low as ph4. The purpose is to use part of the water as refill when changing water for my apisto tank.
But I realised that the holding tank for the peat water, the NO3 level is very high...

What's the difference between DI and RO unit? In terms of the water quality output from them.
I read in another thread which mentioned 'RO alone will not remove chloramine, but deionization will.'
Does this means DI unit is sort of better than RO...
