So, here’s the question I have noticed that there are numerous posts about is the apistogramma borelli is a naturally occurring strain or a selectively bred variant wanted to hear people’s two cents, because I prefer naturally occurring versus artificially made lol
Here is what he said, and that makes complete sense, he said, they were a wild strain that the Czech importer, kept the fixed line going. So I think that’s what your saying.
Ok got it Mac, here is what he said seems on par with what you said too! Smart cookie haha. Also have you ever kept borelli? Heard they like cooler temps.
So, I could not help myself, and purchased another project for my next tank, they are a proven trio of BorellI Pantanal? Now as you guys know with all of my question MR Google is terrible with. Is the borelli Pantanal, a naturally occurring strain in the wild? The seller I bought from, said the...
True exactly thats why I try to get fish that are wild type or as close to wild type, like the red shoulder macmasteri I got, I remember Mike mentioned before that out of all the wild type macmasteri the red shoulder are closest to the wild form and display like it. And I agree with everything.
Ok sounds good thanks guys for the clarifications, for mean if they have jsut bred to get better colors with every generation is not as big of a deal for me, because I am sure that they do that for every farm raised fish to make more people buy them. I am just not a fan of when they start to...

Ok sounds good I will try and correct the issue so also what your saying mac is on the store tank since they gave a location that means they were wild caught sorry I’m confused.
Ok gotcha let me clarify, the pictures with the blue tank are the apistos from the store. Not my home tank. so you still think in my home tank I have a coupe different species also would that cause issues? Also is Ortegi a natural strain?
Hey Guys I have a couple questions, I have a fluval flex 32.5 gallon. I recently had the chance to buy rio ampiacu apistos. I bought 2 confirmed beautiful males and 4 females three confirmed female, one may possibly be a sleeper male but is looking more female than male and even if that’s the...
