    Keeping A. bitaeniata

Yeah, i agree they breed rather readily. I bred mine in tanks with pH6 without any problem. My setup is simple, a small 40cm tank, ADA amazonia aquasoil, java ferns tied to small pieces of wood.

    Black patches on Apisto

Hi all Wild caught apistos sometimes have black patches on their fins and bodies. Are these parasites also known as black spots? And how do we treat them?

    Badis badis "blue fin"

Very cool fish to have indeed. Here's a picture of mine in neutral mood. Kept this guy with my Ap. iniridae and even the apisto was no match for his ferocity. They are not difficult to find here in Singapore.

Which specie does this specimen belongs to?

Took a picture of this guy in our LFS. He came in as a contaminant with a shipment of Agassizii "manicore". I think the bands depends on the mood. I'll look again if he is still in the shop. Comparing to RVA's picture. I too think he's a pulchra.

    My Tanks (update: Aug 07)

Hi blueblue Very neat setup that fully untilizes space within the room. Would love to see it if i get the chance to go HK again. It was a pity i couldn't chat with you longer when i was there. It will be very difficult for Singapore to attain an apisto scene similiar to HK...

My best tripple red male so far!!

Good looking male with dark black patterns. I had a couple of males too that has the tail pattern that is not full even though parent pair had full red patterns on the dorsal, caudal, ventral and anal fins.
