I'm getting ready to do another 55g planted and had these shrimp recommended as an Amano Shrimp substitute. Anyone have any experience with these guys? From what I've read online is they are fairly small, about 1 inch. Current plans call for a pair/trio of apistos - either aggies or cacatouides...

I don't know if has to do with the change of seasons or maybe I get things right about every 3 months or so, but the fishroom was busy for October. Spawns from Apisto. agassizii 'Alenquer' and Flame-tails, Apisto. borelli, Apisto. macmasteri, Apisto. nijsseni (Which I've only had for 2 weeks)...
Anyone know what the chances of Pelv. subocellatus crossing with Pelv. taeniatus or Pelv. pulcher are? I've got a couple pairs coming in and am trying to determine which tank(s) they will eventually call home. I'd prefer to keep them with the other westies, but I have mixed apistos and WA before...

I've got a pair that I've had since May. Took me a while to get them started, but they had their first spawn around the first of August. Now, they are spawning every week to 10 days, but they are rather small spawns for such large dwarfs (Is that an oxymoron? Large Dwarf?). Maybe 20 to 25...
