    Maybe try and get a picture or take a look at the other side. From the photo, it almost looks perfectly symmetrical with another mark on the other side, just lighter.

    Is the fish full grown? Could it just be normal coloration / marking? It looks like there is a matching spot on the other side (just lighter).

    Thanks for the reply! I've been trying to get a better picture with an SLR today, but the Apisto keeps hiding. The dither neons are either spooked or adjusting poorly compared to when they all came home from LFS. I guess I'll have to wait and see
