Hi everyone.
Early this year I have had a very interesting (to me, at least) observation on Eliza male's behaviour. To be exact: I found out, that when female left a spawn cave with eggs for a while, male tried to get in and "fan" eggs with characteristic move ("characteristic" to females than...

Hi there!
I have the opportunity to get Crenicara punctulatum soon. If I get them, they'll go to 80cm (100Ltr.) tank.
I'm not sure, about best water parameters for them, and which combination I should choose - 1m+2f or only a pair?
Thanks in advance!
At last, they did it. :) Female is gurading... 8 youngsters:biggrin: I think if we want to have their successfull spawning, "old" water is needed. And I didn't changed water for 3 weeks now. Fry is doing well. Each time I changed water (even a little) during taking care of eggs, or larvae...

Hi there,
About month ago I bought a 1+2 of Abacaxis. I put them in the heavily planted tank with some bogwood and black photo canisters to hide. Unfortunately, still they haven't spawned. I think because of male's aggression (towards females) Today I removed one female and 6 N...
Hi all,
Today I had brilliant occasion to observe my Panduro's pair spawning.
Spawning have last for approx. 45 mins. Female layed about 60 eggs, but I'm not sure already. By the way, it was unbelievably sight. I wish everyone to see Apistogrammas spawning!
And, two pics:

Hi all,
I have observed a very interesting behaviour of my female A. hongsloi. She was with her 30 flock of fry together in 70L tank. There are only 3 Otocinclus as a cleaner fish. I have kept them together since 9 weeks, but female hadn't taken care on the fry since c.a 2 weeks. I did not...
Hi all!
I'm going to add new tank on my tank shelf. It would be 120Litre tank, 100x50cm and 25cm high. Would be tank like that good for pair of C. regani or C. notophtalmus? I will put a lot of bogwood and oak leaves.
