There's allways possibility getting something from metal to aquarium water. Use it only if you are sure it's safe. It's really difficult to hatch dwarf cichlid eggs artificially. Is there a possibility to build female fish area where it would be easier to guard the eggs? Just a thought but if...
Right.. I know agassiz's are kept in harems, but in my opinion they do as well in pairs but only if the pair is right. Here's my older couple. At least it seems so. :)
Which apisto this is about? With agassizi it's quite easy to know if they are guarding fry. First female turns bright yellow.. and secondly she becomes quite aggressive to allmost everything that becomes too close.
A young agassizi male coming to a front glass of aquarium. Not shy at all. So sorry about algae ''invasion'' at background. I use natural sun light for spawning and algae just loves sunlight.
I'm from Finland or Suomi as we locals say. I breed Apistogramma agassizi and some bigger cichlids too. Very good that this kind of forum exists. I rather write about fishes than myself..it's a lot easier to figure out what to say..
