Need to no 100% whether male or female...

They did have another batch, but she lost them all. The female just hid in the plants until it was safe to come out

Need to no 100% whether male or female...

Interesting interactions between parents and 10 week old fry, she tilts her side at her mum, and neither parents seem to be bothered at this stage about her still loitering

Need to no 100% whether male or female...

It's not a gravel substrate but a plant substrate, so won't cause them any harm if they dig into it, all the grains are round, and no more than 0.2mm, and it's clay based so crushes easily in between my fingers. I also have a manado type media just underneath which is finer (less than 0.1), also...

Thanks :D I'm from 'Sunny Manchester' well, Glossop to be exact. I tend to go to the Abyss in Stockport, they get some nice specimens in from time to time

Need to no 100% whether male or female...

This picture is my other macmasteri male - tank he came from at lfs had some undesirable tank mates hence the unfortunate loss of his dorsal tips. He's already bred twice with the resident female and has 7 week old fry in the tank (photo below)..

Need to no 100% whether male or female...

I've got a couple of other females, and have had them in the past, and never had one quite like this one. Bigger than the average female, my male doesn't like her, the females don't like her, and she doesn't like either sex :/

Need to no 100% whether male or female...

Normally it's obvious, but this one is a puzzle.. MacMasteri Red neck, quite large (if female) and colouring has changed since I got 'him'.. Both the male I got him with has rejected him, and so has my 'other female'.. He's been moved to his own tank and coloured up, but he confuses not just...

Can you clarify whether these are...

These two have spawned successfully - I have another female who hates him though and has been banished to another tank until I can try and pair her up with another. Trouble is, I can't be too sure whether she's one or the other due to colouration. She's in a hospital tank atm, due to loosing...

He was sold to me as Vejita II as was the female.

    apisto availability

I've seen some beautiful Apistogramma over the last year, and it's taken me nearly as long to get a successful pair up. I now have a beautiful male and he gets on well with his mate. Out of 4 different lfs, only 2 have ever stocked them, one even mislabelled a species.

Can you clarify whether these are...

He has very long fins trailing beyond his tail length.
